This Panasonic Toughbook 33 is a Windows 10 Pro tablet outfitted with a 12″ touchscreen and comes equipped with rugged features that enable it fully functional in industrial and outdoor environments. The Toughbook 33 is IP65-certified and has been tested against demanding conditions, such as 4′ drops, vibrations, dust and sand, extreme temperatures, and other factors. To survive these situations, it is built with a magnesium alloy chassis encased with ABS and elastomer edges along with reinforced locking port covers and raised bezel edges. On the inside, the tablet is powered by an Intel Core i5-7300U dual-core processor, operating between 2.6 and 3.5 GHz speeds, and 8GB of LPDDR3 RAM. Additionally, a 256GB SSD is on board to provide quick boot times and access to files, while a heater helps keep the SSD operational in freezing climates.
Panasonic has armed the Toughbook 33 with a 12″ touchscreen that fully supports 10-point multi-fingered gestures, even while wearing gloves. For more precise commands, a stylus is provided and can be stored in the tablet’s integrated holder when not in use. The display has a native resolution of 2160 x 1440, which is driven by an integrated Intel HD Graphics 620 chipset, so you can view small objects on maps or fine details in images. For sunny days, the screen has a maximum brightness level of 1200 cd/m2 and an anti-reflective finish. Moreover, the tablet can also become a 2-in-1 notebook with an optional keyboard dock that features a built-in touchpad as well as additional connectivity ports.
The Toughbook 33 tablet sports one HDMI and one USB 3.0 port to connect with monitors and peripherals, while accessing the Internet and networks can be accomplished via 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Gigabit Ethernet, or 4G LTE connectivity. Once connected online, you can conduct face-to-face conversations using its integrated 1080p webcam, pair of speakers, and dual-array microphones. To capture your surroundings, an 8MP rear camera is available. Other notable features included with the Toughbook 33 are a microSDXC memory card slot, a contact-less SmartCard reader for user verification, and TPM 2.0, which provides a security chip for safeguarding passwords. Furthermore, the Toughbook 33 weighs 3.4 lbs and is powered by a two-battery system, which provides a combined 10 hours of use and lets you swap out the battery with a fully-charged unit without shutting down the system.
